Packed on a Monday night we walked in without a reservation , service was fun & friendly and seafood seriously delicious. Deserves its reputation as the best seafood in town. The salt and pepper prawns are spectacular. I love the English pub atmosphere with the modern Australian seafood experience. We ordered too much and doggy bagged a beautiful cray, staff put sauce and lemon in to send us off. Will be back.

The fish I had was cooked to perfection and presented simply with perfect crispy chips. The food was great. The room is also quite nice and welcoming. Where the whole thing fell apart is the service. It was a frat house atmosphere at the bar among the staff with many conversations between them and actions that were unrelated to the fine food the kitchen was sending out. That being said, I recommend it for seafood without reservation.

Consistently perfect! Went for my birthday lunch. Well cooked food. Sensational starters. Reasonable price, high quality wines. Great advice from the front of house staff on the menu. A little loud for my mum, but we were there on a packed Friday afternoon with large tables of blokes, so understandable. There’s a good reason they are busy!

Really cool atmosphere inside the restaurant with excellent service! Staff were always checking on us and ensuring we had what we needed Ordered a few of their cocktails which were delicious. For starters we had 6 natural oysters and 6 kilpatrick along with the most delicious spring rolls! Mains were their steak, duck and seafood linguine - outstanding dishes

I can understand why Rubira’s has such a reputation for seafood 💖 I came for my birthday with a group of friends and the food was amazing. Even for the non seafood eater the menu was able to cater. The place was super busy and it took a while to get menus and for orders to be taken, my friend ended up getting the menus for our table that were sitting on the window sill. Despite the timeliness, the food was great mostly (chips were average though) and the servers were friendly. The snapper was melt in your mouth, Moreton bay bugs delicious and cosmo refreshing for such a warm evening.

Amazing food - on point and delicious. It is actually great value too, you get an experience to remember at reasonable prices. There is obviously a great culture amongst the staff which is evident in their attentive, friendly and warm service. You have to come here!

Delicious seafood served in a cosy, historic pub setting. Menu includes oysters, prawns, scallops, mussels, bugs and if you are lucky, scampi and lobster will feature as specials. There is also a very good selection of fish, the night we went included hapuka, barramundi, roughy, whiting, snapper and flathead. You can order the fish cooked one of five different ways. For the non-seafood fans, chicken and beef also feature. The serving of chicken breast on our visit was the largest I have ever seen! Friendly and attentive table service too. Don’t think you can really get it wrong here - my one tip would be to make sure you score a table away from the rest rooms.

This is a wonderful restaurant situated within a rustic pub. Look out for the stained glass 'Swallows' above the bar! The food itself was incredible, fresh fish cooked and seasoned perfectly. The portions were healthy, and drinks selection was extensive including 0% bevs. Finally, the service was considerate and accommodating. My only complaint was the smell from the nearby bathroom, which was forgotten once the food arrived.
